Calhoun County Poor House Index

A ledger of the inhabitants of the Calhoun County Almshouse, familiarly known as the Poor House or Poor Farm, came to light when the Brooks Appliance Company building in Marshall was cleared out on the third floor.  The book was found in a box of mixed items.  It was given to Richard D. Carver for his historical collection and he has shared it with the Calhoun County Genealogical Society.  Verla Potts, the late Ann Heisler, and Sandy Redmond transcribed the ledger.
